Summer Loving (plus a linky)

So, it’s all been a bit quiet over here lately, hasn’t it? Where have I been, you might have wondered. Well, nowhere really. Work, home, work, home, and so on and so on. Work has been crazy busy with me covering for others off on holidays. There are a dozen posts I wanted to write… Continue reading Summer Loving (plus a linky)

Very Much A Mother

There’s been a mixup. Wires are crossed somewhere. I’m sure they are because it just isn’t right, the way things are. Someone else’s karma has popped into my life and is laughing in my face. My job was lurking at the back of my mind for months before the return became a reality. Try as I might I could not muster… Continue reading Three Months In, Three Strategies

I had grand plans for returning to work. Well, not so much for returning to work but rather for dealing with the whole working-mother-of-four-chickens-three-children-and-one-dog thing. After a couple of years at home, getting up at the last minute and having that nice post-school-run time slot to clear up the kitchen, sort the washing and so… Continue reading Getting There

Holding On To The Good Stuff

Before taking two years off to be at home with my children, I was a working mother for several years, first of one child, then of two. My memories of those times are mixed. I enjoyed being smartly turned out, being respected for my professional opinion and having the flexibility to work from home if… Continue reading Holding On To The Good Stuff
