A while back I entered a draw to win a hamper of the newly launched Profissimo craft supplies for the purpose of coming up with some clever ways to use them for Christmas wrapping. In this post and one later in the week I’ll be showing you the ideas I came up with and how you can create the same look at home.
For these washi tape Christmas tree cards, you’ll need the following:
Washi tape in various colours – I used greens and sparkly grey
Blank cards – I used the red blank cards from the Profissimo red & cream card set
Sharp scissors – I used the one Profissimo sent me. Lovely and sharp compared to my usual ones, which have been used for all sorts by the boys as well as by me.
Begin by laying the card flat on your work surface with the side you want to decorate facing up.
About one third up from the bottom edge of the card stick on a length of narrow tape in green across the width of the card.
Using the sparkly tape, cut three narrow strips and place these above the top edge of the green tape. These are the tree trunks.
Next cut small triangles from the wide green tape and stick these to the card, above each of the tree trunks. Depending on how tall you want to make your Christmas trees you’ll need two or three triangles per tree.
To complete your card cut a star from the sparkly tape and place it on top of the middle Christmas tree.
All materials used to create this card are from the Profissimo rage in dm stores and in their online shop.
[Disclaimer: I was sent a parcel of craft materials by Profissimo, a dm brand as part of a competition on thier website. While I was provided with the materials free of charge, I was not asked to review them or write a blogpost.]
