The Luck Of The Irish

St. Patricks Day The Luck Of The Irish

I don’t win competitions and I’m no good a gambling.

A Saturday’s child,  I work hard for a living.

Things don’t fall into my lap.

But, I am lucky.

I’m lucky to have a loving husband and three of the very best children the world has ever seen.

I’m lucky to have a close family despite miles and miles between us.

I’m luck to have had all four grandparents till I was 26 and only have to say goodbye to the last of them at the age of 35.

I’m lucky to have made very good friends and have friendships that span 25 years and many countries.

I’m lucky to be healthy and be surrounded by a healthy family.

I’m lucky to have been born Irish, because despite all the problems the country has, it is still one of the best places in the world to grow up.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
